Fourplex Monolithic Dome Home!

This is a follow-up post to Monolithic Dome Tiny Homes that I originally shared back in 2010. It’s incredible that it’s been over ten years since I originally shared this, hasn’t it? Quite unbelievable! And I’m fortunate enough to still be getting to go back, comb through old articles, and make them better all thanks to you and your support over the years. 🙏

So anyway, this is an incredible FOURPLEX Monolithic Dome Home Structure so that means there are four total units per structure at approximately 201-sq.-ft. of space per unit. That means each structure is only 804-sq.-ft. yet offers four units. Pretty impressive, isn’t it? How do you see this type of structure being used most effectively? Let’s talk about it in the comments down below, please, because I’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas! And who knows, the right person might read it and turn it into reality somewhere. Wouldn’t that be cool?

So here’s the floor plan. It’s a ROUND Structure, kind of like a yurt but each unit is approximately 201-sq.-ft. What do you think? This could be a pretty useful building to have on a property, don’t you think?

Here is a peek inside one of the units… It’s basically a studio design with a kitchenette, bathroom, dining nook, wardrobe, and a bed that doubles as your couch and lounge.

Here’s a view of the kitchenette. It’s like an apartment or motel-style kitchen which definitely works! I could cook a mean breakfast in here, believe me!

Here’s a closer look at the bedroom area of the studio dome unit with its own window and in-wall AC unit so you can stay warm or cool while sleeping. I’m sure that unit has no problem keeping this space at the right temperature!

With a living area of 201 square feet –– about the size of a large, double motel room –– the apartments are designed for one-person occupancy.
