I’ve found that Tumbleweed Houses has the largest variety of tiny house plans available. Here is a brief review of some favorites.
The XS House
The XS house is one of the smallest of Tumbleweed’s offerings. It sits at just 65 square feet (not including the upstairs sleeping loft). It is designed to have a built in couch with storage, stainless steel desk, sink, and fireplace. Plus shower, bathroom, two closets, and plenty of shelf space. A small refrigerator sits below the kitchen counter.

Epu House
Jay Shafer, founder of Tumbleweed Houses, lived in this model for a long time. It’s a little larger at 89 square feet, has a nice front porch, and some more storage.

The Small House Book by Jay Shafer
Jay Shafer’s book is an excellent resource for tiny houses. In it he explains exactly how to set up the trailer as the foundation for a house. Right now Tumbleweed is giving away a free set of tiny house plans (the Popomo) when you purchase the Small House Book. It’s a great way to start learning about building and a great value at just $36.95, especially since they’re giving away free tiny house plans with purchase of the book.
