Tiny House Friends, Links and Resources
I created this page as a thank you to everyone who has helped Tiny House Talk get to this point. Some of these people I’ve yet to meet in person, others may not know it but have inspired me but all have had a direct impact on me personally.
Derek “DEEK” Diedricksen of RelaxShacks.com
Deek has been a huge help and a great new friend. We met up in Florida. We did a video and interview. I got to speak at and attend his first workshop. He makes awesome videos at Tiny Yellow House.

I met Mariah at Derek Diedricksen’s micro building workshop in Boston. She rebuilds travel trailers from scratch and blogs about it. She also wears sweet helmets.

Tiny House Living
This is the first website I started on the topic of tiny houses and simple living. I still continue to add to it and it’s set up as a more traditional, resource-based website. I started it in June of 2009 using a service called SBI (even though I’d already learned HTML). It taught me a lot about building a web presence and I’d highly recommend it to you if you aren’t already receiving lots of free traffic from the search engines or are new to websites because it’s played a huge part in my own success.
Van Tramps
Mike and Heidi are a married couple who travel in class B RVs full-time. Originally I had bought us a 1995 Falcon 190 that we were going to travel in, but we had to change our plans and sell it. Either way Mike and Heidi are awesome because they offered their help and tips to us in the beginning when we were about to do this.
To Simplify
Glenn was another person who shared an interest in full timing in a small RV. He actually started out with the same rig as ours… The Falcon 190. He later swapped it for something that worked better for him but he was also a great person that helped us in the beginning.

Where Else You Can Find Me

Your tiny houses are phenomenal. We’d been reading your newsletter for a while when I saw them on HGTV. We are recent Teardroppers. My husband built our woody (in 5 weeks!) this Spring and we’ve been out and about with it ever since. Everyone stops us and even a stop for coffee can turn into an hour chat! Such nice people we’ve met. I’ve even started to blog – novice yet but it is fun! (dlvent-teardropper.blogspot.com) Thanks again for such a great concept!

Hey Lynn so glad that you found us after the HGTV show that featured Jay’s tiny houses. Checking out your blog now, I absolutely love teardrop campers. Hope to build one someday soon. We’ll see! See ya, Lynn!

Thanks! It was a very quick project (my husband is a retired carpenter) with a very large payback! Not only is it inexpensive to tow & park but we meet so many great people who all ooh & ahh over Don’s workmanship. If you have woodworking skills, it’s not too difficult. (We even “wrapped” the fenders with the wood and did the interior in bead board). The simplicity is what I go for. Someone told me “if you have to bring a vacuum, it’s not camping” and she was right! Let us know if you need any pointers! Lynn
